LARP: Love, Trolls, and Other Quests

With loads of humour and energy, this is a story about growing up, first infatuations, and looking for one’s place in the world. The protagonist here is a teenage student of a technical secondary school, who fails to belong within the school walls and cannot find friends among his peers. Misunderstood by the family and bullied by his classmates, he finds refuge in his great passion – Live Action Role Play games, where he impersonates an elf. As the borderline between the fantasy world and everyday life becomes blurred, the boy must confront not only his own fears, but also his first affection, and the urge to be accepted. The film ‘LARP. Miłość, trolle i inne questy / LARP: Love, Trolls, and Other Quests’ offers an accurate, even if not too meticulous lens into the emotional life of young people, sending a message that being ‘different’ can become a source of the greatest strength.
