The story of a young jockey dreaming of a sporting career. The culmination of these dreams is participation in the most important horse race in Poland – the Great Warsaw Race. Krzysiek enters the world of horse racing with the naivety of a novice, only to quickly discover that the tracks are a web of dependencies, powerful interests, and manipulated results. He believes he can change this – especially since the country stands on the brink of a major transformation. The fall of communism brings hope that the future can only be better. Yet in a world of corruption and dirty tricks, it is hard to remain unblemished. Will Krzysiek be able to resist the lure of big money and a rapid career? And how much is he willing to sacrifice to disrupt the system?
