Parisian suburbs, 1985. Soon to turn 13, Vincent lives in a typically bourgeois family, with his elder brother who largely ignores him, and the parents who never stop arguing. He is no longer a child, but far from becoming an adult. He does not yet know how to answer the big questions: about his identity, friendship, family, and first affections. He has also no clue why the adults seem to have everything in disarray.

A French duo of film directors and screenwriters, who specialise in a combination of comedy and social drama. Their films focus on human relations, social integration, and exclusion issues. They often deliver the hard topics with a large dose of humour and emotional load. They gained international recognition with the films ‘The Intouchables,’ ‘Samba,’ the TV series ‘En thérapie,’ and ‘A Difficult Year.’ Their films offer a heart-warming and humanistic perspective on the portrayed people, and deliver serious social issues in a very light tone.
