Montreal, 2011. Grace comes to town with a bold plan – she wants to write a book about the cult album ‘Jagged Little Pill’ by Alanis Morissette. But fate has other plans: she falls in love with two members of Bone Patrol, an aspiring indie rock band. She also becomes their PR manager. It is a romantic comedy based loosely on personal experiences of film director Chandler Levack, before she became a professional music critic and filmmaker.

Chandler Levack

A film director, screenwriter, and film critic from Canada. She makes independent auteur cinema. She earned a name in the film industry after her full-length début ‘I Like Movies.’ The film premièred at the Toronto International Film Festival, receiving awards from film critics for Best Screenplay for a Canadian Film and Best Canadian Film. Before the début film, she was involved in making short films and music videos, for example for the band PUP. Her film work combines coming-of-age cinema with large doses of humour, nostalgia, observations about pop culture, music, and adolescence. In her successive films, such as ‘Mile End Kicks,’ she continues to explore the autobiographical and emotional characteristics of her film work.
