Pauli, 29, a classical flautist, returns to his home town to recover after a serious nervous breakdown. He considers himself a loser, and is unable to play music. Quite accidentally, he meets Iris, an artist who creates experimental music all on her own. The girl talks him into making music together. She believes the two of them have a chance of creating something truly original. In pursuit of perfection all his life, Pauli gets totally absorbed by the girl’s chaotic energy and finds tranquillity in their musical experiments.
