A hot summer in Warsaw, Poland. Bethany visits Poland for a romantic trip with her boyfriend. When she runs into Nel, her friend from the past, there is immediate chemistry between the two women. Longing to be as carefree as they used to before, they stroll along the sunbathed city, detached from the reality and the decisions they must ultimately make. The film ‘Erupcja’ is an intimate and sensual story about a meeting that changes everything. At the same, it becomes a modern portrayal of Warsaw itself, a city brimming with energy, freedom, and creative turmoil. The mood set by film director Pete Ohs is a mixture of youthful euphoria and the anxiety of adulthood. Bethany, one of the main protagonists, is portrayed by Charlie XCX with great charisma and exceptional sensitivity. She is partnered by Lena Góra, the emotional centre of the whole story, and co-author of the film project.

A film director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and editor from the United States. He has won four Emmy Awards, and was named one of the ‘25 New Faces of Independent Film’ by the Filmmaker Magazine. His films were screened at the most important international film festivals, including SXSW (South by Southwest Film Festival) and the Los Angeles Film Festival. His film work combines cinéma d’auteur and experimental cinema, and he likes to take on various artistic roles in the filmmaking process.
