Paris, 1835. Fryderyk Chopin is 25, and he is an adored figure among the salons of Paris, aristocrats, and by the king of France himself. There is no single event of weight that can happen without his participation. We observe him take part in night escapades and parties thrown after his concerts – he is always full of life, hiding his illness behind jokes. He writes his greatest compositions, gives piano lessons, his friends admire him, and women love to be around him. With time, Chopin discovers that what matters most to him is music itself.
