A discussion accompanying the screening series “Wajda’s Actresses”, organised in collaboration with the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia as part of the 50/51 project. Speaking about their shared experiences with Wajda, about what cinema meant to them and what it means today, will be: Emilia Krakowska — Malina from “Brzezina”, Anna Seniuk — Julcia from “The Maids of Wilko”, Grażyna Szapołowska and Alicia Bachleda-Curuś — Telimena and Zosia from “Pan Tadeusz” — as well as Agata Buzek, who worked with Wajda on the set of “The Revenge”. The conversation will also feature Joanna Łapińska, Artistic Director of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and a member of the European Film Academy.
The “50 na 51” project is organised by the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia – producer of the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia. The project has received the honorary patronage of the Mayor of the City of Gdynia. The project is co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Polish Film Institute. The main partner of “50 na 51” is the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute. The project partners are the Documentary and Feature Film Studio (WFDiF), Polish Television (TVP) and the Accessible Cinema Foundation.
