Osvald, a martial arts master, accidentally hurts a girl in the street. As a consequence, he is expelled from the federation of martial arts. Tormented by guilt and no longer able to travel and participate in Asian tournaments that made him famous, he returns to his deserted home town in Eastern Europe. He starts to spend his days at the local restaurant ‘China Sea’ that belongs to Ju-Long, an immigrant from Taiwan, and now the only friend he has left. During mandatory group psychotherapy classes, Osvald meets Skaiste, a mysterious woman. He soon discovers to be strongly attracted to her, which he also finds somewhat disturbing. Looking for redemption and craving desperately for love, his contact with the reality around him gradually grows thin. Clutching tightly onto the remnants of what’s real, he once again resorts to violence. This time, he does it consciously.
