A young and idealistic photographer faces the threat of eviction. With the help of her incapable flatmate, the girl for the first time tries her hand at selling own pictures to galleries. She starts a bumpy journey through the art market in Istanbul that is slowly plunging into a crisis.

Melik Kuru

A film director from Turkey, born in 1989. He decided to drop out of architecture studies, so he could study at the Media and Visual Arts Department at Koç University in Istanbul. He graduated with the highest honours. Then, he graduated from MFA film studies at Columbia University. His short film ‘We Are a Family’ from 2020 premièred at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. He worked as an editor for the film ‘Hesitation Wound’ directed by Selman Nacar (2023), which premièred in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival. The film ‘Dump of Untitled Pieces’ was screened as part of the Meetings on the Bridge platform organised within the Istanbul Film Festival, and at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
