It is the beginning of the 1990s in Lithuania. Local TV star Daiva gets laid off, when Russian soldiers take control of the television studio she works at. Completely helpless when facing armed men, Daiva decides to start a hunger strike in a small trailer parked just outside the seized television station. There is only a few people who decide to join her, while the soldiers do not even bother to take notice. After the very first day, the fight for taking back the TV station seems a lost one. As the hunger kicks in, the people on strike suddenly realise that what they really desire is the closeness and warmth of other people.
