The Good Boy

  • Poland, Great Britain
  • 2025
  • 110'
  • Special screenings
The film ‘The Good Boy’ showcases yet another international film production from Jan Komasa – the author of the film ‘Boże ciało / Corpus Christi’ nominated for Academy Awards, as well as ‘Sala samobójców / Suicide Room,’ ‘Miasto 44 / Warsaw 44,’ or ‘Hejter / Suicide Room: Hater.’ The story in the film is woven from a cornucopia of various metaphors, constantly swinging between dark humour and moral anxiety. In its multi-layered narrative, there are questions about the borderline between good and evil, but the film refrains from providing any simple answers. Instead, one must confront themselves with their own beliefs. The film had its international première at the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, as part of the prestigious Centrepiece programme dedicated to presenting the most important film projects from all around the world.
