Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza and Jan Englert to receive the Pola Negri Film Awards funded by Marshal of Kujawsko-Pomorskie

During the 23rd edition of the BellaTOFIFEST International Film Festival, the Pola Negri Film Awards of Marshal of Kujawsko-Pomorskie are going to be presented to two excellent Polish artists: Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza and Jan Englert. Both of them are going to have meetings with the festival audience, after the screenings of their latest films.

The meeting with Jan Englert, a brilliant Polish actor famous for his many great roles in film and theatre, takes place on Saturday, 28th June, at Cinema City, after the screening of the film ‘The Crossroads’. The film director Dominika Montean-Pańków is also going to be present during the meeting. You can attend the meeting for free.

Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza, an actress who is not shy from accepting various challenges, both in film and on stage, is going to have a meeting with the festival audience on Monday, 30th June, at Cinema City, after the screening of the film ‘Seasons’. The actress will be accompanied by film director Michał Grzybowski, actors Łukasz Simlat and Grzegorz Wiśniewski, and cinematographer Edgar de Poray. Admission to the meeting is free.

Jan Englert is an actor, director, educator, professor of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, and deputy artistic director of the National Theatre in Warsaw. He was cast in such films as: ‘Sewer’ (1956), ‘Katyń’ (2007) and ‘Sweet Rush’ (2009) directed by Andrzej Wajda; ‘Salt of the Black Earth’ (1969), ‘Pearl in the Crown’ (1971) directed by Kazimiez Kutz; ‘Doctor Judym’ (1975) directed by Włodzimierz Haupe; ‘The Baritone’ (1984) directed by Janusz Zaorski; ‘The Magnate’ (1986) directed by Filip Bajon, and ‘The Crossroads’ (2024) directed by Dominika Montean-Pańków, as well as in television productions, for example: ‘The Columbuses’ (1970) directed by Janusz Morgenstern; ‘Polish Roads’ (1977) directed by Jerzy Antczak; ‘The Doll’ (1978) directed by Ryszard Ber; ‘The House’ (1980) directed by Jan Łomnicki, and in ‘Time of Honor’ (2008). He has won countless awards and honorary mentions, for example the Golden Angel Award for lifetime achievement at the BellaTOFIFEST International Film Festival in Toruń (in 2017).

The actor is going to be awarded the Pola Negri Honorary Film Award of Marshal of Kujawsko-Pomorskie, during the Opening Ceremony of the BellaTOFIFEST IFF.

Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza is an actress with impressive artistic achievements in film, theatre, and television, popular among cinema enthusiasts for her numerous roles in film and television. She was applauded by both film critics and viewers for the role of Kasia in the film ‘Beloved Neighbours,’ for which she was nominated for the Maciej Kozłowski Award for the Best Supporting Role at the Kozzi Film Festival in Zielona Góra (2021). The film also received the Audience Award at the Koszalin Film Début Festival ‘Young and Film.’ She was also cast in the comedy drama ‘Seasons’ directed by Michał Grzybowski, one of the most appreciated and awarded film productions in 2024. Her role in that film was recognised by an international jury at the 18th edition of the Mastercard Off Camera International Festival of Independent Cinema, when Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza received the Best Actress Award.

The actress is going to be awarded the Pola Negri Honorary Film Award of Marshal of Kujawsko-Pomorskie, during the Closing Ceremony of the BellaTOFIFEST IFF.

The films ‘Seasons’ and ‘The Crossroads’ were co-financed by Fundusz Filmowy Kujawy i Pomorze (The Kuyavian-Pomeranian Film Fund).
