The film attempts to reconstruct the tragic fate that befell Fortress Kostrzyn that was almost entirely ruined, in the course of war campaign. The animated Old Town is brought to life, using postcards and photographs from the beginning of the century, and the city's history inspired this animated illustration of a music piece titled Song for Little Sparrow by Abel Korzeniowski.

Natalia Oliwiak is a painter and animator from Kostrzyn nad Odrą. She is now doing a Ph.D. at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In addition to painting, she is also involved in photography, animation, graphic design, and video art. She has been awarded for her video clip Retro-film.
