One day, the child Frederico learns from his teacher that people die when their hearts stop. That night, he can’t sleep. He wakes his mother up several times throughout the night and complains he has a pain in his chest.

Diogo Costa Amarante was born in Porto, Portugal in 1982, he graduated in law before making his directing debut with the short documentary Jumate. Currently Diogo finished as a Fulbright Scholar his Master of Fine Arts at the New York University / Tisch School of the Arts and was funded to develop his first feature script Migrar pelas Sombras.
