María José, a wealthy representative of the Madrid bourgeoisie, and her lover Juan, a university professor, knock down and kill a cyclist, and then run away from the place of collision. Juan is tormented by a sense of guilt and was to turn himself in, but María José fears that she might lose her social status. It is not long, before a blackmailer pops up, who knows exactly what had happened...
