The new film by Jim Sheridan sold. Rooney Mara on the set
As reported by Screen International American distributor Relativity Studios bought from Ferndale Films and Jim Sheridan's rights to introduce the latest work by Irish cinema director - The Secret Scripture.
For transactions occurred on the big fair in Los Angeles - the American Film Market (AFM). Sheridan moves with images literally 'for days' - in mid-December. The main roles take on Rooney Mara, Vanessa Redgrave, Eric Bana, Jack Reynor and Theo James.

The Secret Scripture tells of a certain Irish woman, falsely recognized by doctors for nymphomaniac and locked in a psychiatric hospital until the end of her life. Johnny Ferguson and Sheridan adapted for film by Sebastian Barry novella of the same title.

Jim Sheridan was a guest Tofifest in 2011 and received a special Golden Angel Torun for Artistic Insolence. Sheridan is a six-time Oscar nominee Irish author, best known for his masterpieces "My Left Foot" and "In the Name of the Father". It was he who coined the acting talent of Daniel Day-Lewis.
