Director of Frances Ha with new movie in Toronto IFF.

Toronto International Film Festival – one of the 10 most important film festivals in the world – has just announced the first film titles to be screened in September this year. While We’re Young, the new film by Noah Baumbach to star Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts and Amanda Seyfried, will have its international premiere at the Toronto IFF. Noah has gained international recognition with his excellent debut, Frances Ha, which was featured at the ON AIR competition at Tofifest IFF 2013.

The latest film by Baumbach analyses the phenomena of professional and life burnouts that affect middle-aged people. Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts portray a married couple troubled by this affliction – he is a neurotic director of documentaries, and she is a busy wife. Their dull lives are turned completely upside down, when they have befriended a carefree young couple.

Glen Basner, a producer from New York, who is also involved with funding and selling rights to films, announced that he had bought rights to present the newest film by Noah Baumbach all around the globe.

The opening and closing film titles at the Toronto IFF were also made public. These will be the following: Gone Girl by David Fincher, Inherent Vice by Paul Thomas Anderson, and Birdman by Alejandro González Iñárritu. TIFF starts on 4th September.
