You can't hide the truth
- This film will not be easy in perception - rated Wojciech Smarzowski at a meeting with journalists in Kazimierz Dolny. He spoke about the film Wołyń.
Samrzowski - one of the best Polish directors - is known from films about heavy subject matter. He also has a group of loyal actors who always plays in his films. It is no different this time. Shooting of the Wołyń will continue until 8 August 2015. The plan works famous actors - Arkadiusz Jakubik and Kinga Preis.
The film is to be an epic story about the events in the eastern borderlands of the Poland, during the Second World War. The action begins in the spring of 1939 and end at summer of 1945. Particular emphasis will be placed on the description of the genocide of Polsih people at the summer of 1943, known as the "Volyn carnage".
The screenplay, wrote by Smarzowski, based on stories of Stanisław Srokowski from book Hatred. He noted that the text was consulted, among others, with historians and people who lived on the easter boundaries of former Poland. - You can not hide the truth about the crime. Because concealing the truth about genocide, is a simple way to new crimes - said Smarzowski.
In 2010, Smarzowski received the Grand Prize at the Tofifest film festival for Dark House in Polish Competition FROM POLAND.
